Activity 2.4 - Camera Accessories

Tripod
A tripod is a “three-legged frame” that is easy to carry around. Photographer use this to stabilize or support the weight of the camera to capture a still and motion photgraphs. Usually used for a slow-speed exposures. It also helps to produce a stabilized image.

Monopod
Monopod only has one leg or it is basically a pole to support photographers capture stabilized image or at least reduce the shake from our body. The difference between tripods and monopods is that monopods cannot support the camera by itself, unlike tripods. It needs something big to lean on, which it could be the photographer controlling how they want to use it.

Flash
A device used in photography that produces light used to illuminate a scene. By using a flash, it can make dark skin brighter.

Strobe

Big lights that have more lighting than the strobe lights.
